RONA Foundation

Our mission

The RONA Foundation contributes to improving the quality of life of Canadians in need by revitalizing their living environments or making it easier to access housing. In particular, it aims to help victims of domestic violence and their children, low-income families, and people with disabilities or mental health issues.

A word from the Director of the foundation

After having worked in the world of philanthropy for over 20 years, I am honored to be managing the RONA Foundation. When I look back on all that the foundation has accomplished these past 25 years, I am inspired. I want us to challenge ourselves to help even more Canadians in the next 25 years so that the foundation can keep playing an active part in building stronger communities throughout the country.

Spotlight on some organizations supported by the RONA Foundation

Children's Miracle Network and Opération Enfant Soleil

RONA is proud to be a major partner of Children's Miracle Network and Opération Enfant Soleil since 2018. With this association, we contribute to the essential work of these organizations that provide meaningful assistance to sick children and their families in Canada by supporting 13 children's hospitals across Canada. Our sixth annual campaign took place in-store and online from March 27 to May 5, 2023.

Habitat for Humanity

We are proud to help provide safe and affordable housing to many Canadian families through our involvement with Habitat for Humanity Canada. Since 2007, we have donated a total of over $4 million in cash or material donations to this life-changing organization.

Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau

Since 2018, we have been supporting the Charles-Bruneau Foundation as a Diamond Partner of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau. Thanks to the generosity of our RONA and Réno-Dépôt customers and the involvement of the cyclists part of the RONA team, we presented the Charles-Bruneau Foundation with a total of $3,400,000 to support pediatric cancer research, making a difference in the lives of thousands of children.

Vero & Louis Foundation

In 2018, RONA committed to present $1.5M to the Fondation Véro & Louis, the first major donation for this foundation. Since then, our two organizations partnered together closely, which led to the inauguration of the first Véro & Louis house in June of 2021.
