Father and son duo set to open a new RONA store in Goodsoil, Saskatchewan

The opening of this new store, which will cater to the needs of local contractors and homeowners, will create approximately eight new jobs

Boucherville, QC – March 12, 2020 – Lowe’s Canada, one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers, joins its RONA affiliated dealers, James and Patrick Willis, to announce the opening in early April of their new 3,000-sq.-ft. store, located at 211 Main Street in Goodsoil, Saskatchewan. The father and son, who also own the Vermilion RONA store in Alberta, are thrilled to expand their business in the area and look forward to serving local contractors and homeowners.  The opening of this new location will create approximately eight new jobs.

“We have a vacation home in Goodsoil and thoroughly enjoy spending time there. We had been looking to expand our business for some time, so when we heard that there was an opportunity in the area, the decision was easy to make,” explained Patrick Willis. “With our wide selection of products, which will include building materials, seasonal products, Craftsman tools, appliances, and much more, local homeowners and contractors will be able to find everything they need for their projects right here in Goodsoil. Since we also own a 10,000-sq.-ft. store with an even more comprehensive offering in Vermilion, anything we don’t have in stock locally is only days away.”

To provide increased flexibility and choice to its customers, RONA Goodsoil will also offer online shopping. Residents from Goodsoil and surrounding areas will thus be able to browse through thousands of products on rona.ca, order online when and where they like, and pick up their orders in store at their convenience. In addition to a selection of home improvement products, the store will also be able to provide full home, cottage, commercial and agricultural shop building packages to help bring customer’s projects, big and small, to life.

“James and Patrick are dedicated businessmen who pride themselves on providing outstanding customer service. They are also actively involved in their community. Between the two of them, they have decades of experience in the home improvement and retail industry, and we have seen great things from them since they first joined the RONA network in 2018. I know they will bring exceptional customer experience, as well as an exciting product and service offering, to Goodsoil,” said Philippe Element, Vice-President, Sales and Affiliated Dealer Support at Lowe’s Canada.
