Kelowna affiliated dealer joins RONA

This change will be accompanied by a major investment to add 6,000 sq. feet of retail space

Boucherville, Quebec, February 2, 2026 – RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers, operating and servicing some 425 corporate and affiliated dealer stores, proudly welcomes RONA Highway 33 located in Kelowna (BC), and its 28 employees to the network of RONA affiliated dealers. Tony Russo, owner of the store previously operated under the name Mara Lumber Home Building Centre, will also add 6,000 square feet of retail space and enhance the store’s offering to local customers.

“RONA Highway 33 has been serving the community for more than 45 years. My wife and I have been proud to contribute to the region’s vitality by supporting our customers in their various renovation projects since taking over in 2007. It’s incredibly rewarding to get to make a real difference in the lives of our neighbours and help them create the homes of their dreams. Running this store has become such a big part of our life that our daughter Gabrielle and son-in-law Dan decided to join in the last few years,” said Tony Russo, owner of RONA Highway 33. “We’re always looking for ways to increase our retail presence and provide the best service and offering to entrepreneurs and DYIers. That is why we chose to join RONA. They are the right partners for us to keep growing our store and bring the best experience to Kelowna residents.”

Expanding the space to cater to contractors and customers alike

As part of this change of banner, Russo will be adding 6,000 square feet of retail space to the existing 15,000-square-feet sales area. Thanks to this added space, the store will offer customers a new appliance selection, a kitchen and bath showroom, and a larger seasonal selection with home decor, while expanding its lumber and building material line in both the store and yard. A PRO counter featuring RONA’s exclusive VIPpro offering will also be available, much to the delight of local contractors.
