Lowe's Canada extends special temporary hourly wage premium throughout the month of July

Hundreds of seasonal and regular positions still available at Lowe's, RONA, and Reno-Depot corporate stores across the country

Boucherville, QC – June 29, 2020 – Lowe’s Canada, one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating or servicing more than 470 corporate and affiliated stores under different banners, announces that it is extending the special temporary $2 per hour worked wage premium for all front-line eligible full-time and part-time hourly associates working at Lowe’s, RONA, or Reno-Depot corporate stores, contact centres, and supply chain facilities in Canada to the hours they will work throughout the month of July.

“We want to recognize our associates’ continued hard work and dedication to serving our customers and meeting their needs, both in store and online,” said Marc Macdonald, Senior Vice-President, Human Resources at Lowe’s Canada. “In a context where it is challenging to recruit, we believe that extending the special temporary wage premium throughout the month of July will allow us to attract and retain talented associates across Canada.”

With the high season in full swing in the home improvement industry, Lowe’s Canada’s corporate stores operating under the Lowe’s, RONA, and Reno-Depot banners are still looking for hundreds of seasonal and regular associates to join their teams. Available positions include sales associates, receiving clerks, stockers, customer service associates, cashiers, merchandising service associates, lumber yard clerks, night crew associate, administrative support associates (in store), and drivers (class 1 and 3). Positions are also available at Lowe’s Canada’s distribution centre in Boucherville, Quebec. All new associates have access to training and mentoring suited to the various positions.
