The 7th annual Lowe's stores toy drive brings the Holiday spirit to underprivileged children across Canada

66 Canadian Lowe’s stores collected more than 7,740 toys during this year’s campaign

Boucherville, QC – December 19, 2018 – The Lowe’s network of stores in Canada is proud to announce that its annual toy drive campaign, executed in partnership with The Salvation Army, has collected more than 7,740 new, unopened toys for underprivileged children across Canada. The toys collected between November 19 and December 16 by 66 Canadian Lowe’s stores will be given to children in need through local chapters of The Salvation Army in multiple Canadian cities. To further support The Salvation Army, Lowe’s Canada announced yesterday a $15,000 cash donation to CTV Toronto’s Toy Mountain, a yearly toy drive in the Greater Toronto Area also in partnership with The Salvation Army.

“It really warms my heart to see our Lowe’s stores toy drive get bigger and bigger every year. Our employees, customers and fellow citizens are incredibly generous," says Malcolm Parks, Divisional Vice-President, Operations for Lowe’s stores in Canada. “A big thank you to everyone who contributed to bringing joy to thousands of children again this year. We look forward to our 66, soon to be 67, Lowe's stores participating in next year's campaign!”

"We are so thankful to Lowe's Canada and its network of Lowe’s stores, who are great partners of The Salvation Army," says Lt-Colonel John Murray, Secretary for Communications for The Salvation Army. "Their amazing support in toys and a financial donation will help bring smiles to the faces of thousands of children on Christmas morning."
