The RONA Outaouais store officially opens in Buckingham

The grand opening ceremony took place on the evening of June 16

Boucherville, QC – June 17, 2022 – Lowe’s Canada, one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating or servicing some 450 corporate and affiliated stores under different banners, joins Chantal Veilleux and Claude Bélec, owners of RONA Outaouais, to celebrate the grand opening of their Buckingham store, located at 700 Dollard St., in Buckingham. To mark the occasion, dignitaries, managers from the RONA Dealer Support team, partners, and employees were in attendance on the evening of June 16 for the traditional board-cutting ceremony.

“Through this event, we join our partners, community members, and valued employees in celebrating the completion of our important expansion project. By acquiring this store, we not only maintain the proximity service in Buckingham and keep the seasoned team in place, but we also improve our offering for the benefit of the customers by giving them access to all the services and products they need to complete their residential and commercial home improvement and construction projects,” said Mr. Bélec.

The 18,000-sq.-ft. store has been completely renovated, which represents a major investment in the region and leads to the creation and maintenance of about 50 jobs. Customers have now access to an expanded offering with RONA’s leading brands, such as SICO, Craftsman, John Deere, Weber, and Napoleon. They will also benefit from new seasonal product mixes, appliances, and décor items, in addition to having access to online shopping at rona.ca. Moreover, professional customers can get exclusive offers and other advantages by joining the VIPpro program.

“We are particularly proud to celebrate this major milestone with Chantal, Claude, and their teams. It’s been a privilege to help them achieve their growth projects since their beginnings as entrepreneurs and RONA affiliated dealers, and we will continue to put our expertise at their service, as well as support their vision and desire to offer first-class customer service,” added Philippe Element, Vice-President, RONA Dealer Sales and Support at Lowe’s Canada.

Grand opening celebrations

In addition to the board-cutting ceremony, the store team will be holding various activities over the next few days to celebrate the store’s grand opening with customers and the community. Through Sunday, the first 100 customers per day will have access to freebies and discounts. In addition, the store has partnered with Maison de la famille Vallée-de-la-Lièvre and will be holding a fundraising BBQ at noon on Saturday, June 18, to support the organization’s mission. Customers will also be invited to make a donation at checkout through mid-July to help the support local children and families in need.
