RONA+ Mascouche store honoured at Hardlines' Outstanding Retailer Awards
The store was named Best Large Surface Retailer (over 65,000 square feet)
Boucherville, Québec, October 22, 2025 – RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating and servicing over 425 corporate and affiliated stores, celebrates its RONA+ Mascouche store for receiving the award for Best Large Surface Retailer (over 65,000 square feet) last night during the 2025 Outstanding Retailer Awards Gala (ORA) organized by Hardlines. Launched in 1992, the ORAs celebrate and recognize the achievements of hardware, home improvement and building supply retailers and dealers across Canada.
Jonathan Ashton, Store Manager at RONA+ Mascouche, attended the event to accept this award. “2024 was a milestone year for RONA+ Mascouche. The entire team was engaged and driven by the same passion to serve our customers well. Every stage of the customer’s journey was redesigned and, by working together, we managed to significantly improve our results. Every member of the team is committed to serving our clientele in an environment that will inspire them to carry out their projects, big or small. But our commitment goes beyond our store’s walls, the bond with our community matters to us. I believe that our store embodies retail excellence with a strong culture, a committed team, a loyal clientele and a mission that goes far beyond selling products,” he says.
The store’s story began in 1970, when it was founded by a local family, and soon became a top destination for the Mascouche citizens and contractors. In 2005, it was acquired by RONA, and in May 2025, the store was converted to the RONA+ banner. Under this new banner, RONA+ Mascouche now offers an enhanced shopping experience for both professionals and DIYers, with a wider range of products, specialized departments, improved services, and dedicated spaces for popular brands. With nearly 90,000 sq. ft. of sales floorspace, including a garden centre of over 21,000 sq. ft., RONA+ Mascouche is definitely the destination of choice for anyone in the area looking to build and improve their home.
“Personalized service is something that is highly valued when shopping in a hardware store. That service is not sacrificed in any way at RONA+ Mascouche. Customers get treated with care by all the staff, from salespeople to cashiers,” says Michael McLarney, President of Hardlines and founder of the Outstanding Retailer Awards. “That commitment from the entire staff reflects the passion of the store’s manager, Jonathan Ashton. His strong leadership has resulted in making this store our choice as this year’s ORA winner for Large-Surface Store.”
