RONA welcomes two new family-owned stores in Rodney and Springfield, Ontario

The conversion of the stores to the RONA banner will represent a local investment of approximately $250,000

Boucherville, QC – September 23, 2019 – Lowe’s Canada, one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers, is pleased to welcome a new family-run business to its RONA affiliated dealer network. Mike Crow Sr. acquired the home improvement centres located at 22349 Hoskins Line in Rodney, Ontario, and 51276 Ron McNeil Line in Springfield, Ontario, in 2004 and 2016 respectively. Since then, he has been running these stores with his children and his team of dedicated employees. The conversion of both locations to the RONA banner will represent a local investment of approximately $250,000.

The switch to the RONA banner marks a new step in the development of the family business. “I was looking to partner with a company that could help me provide more value and choices to my customers. RONA was the perfect fit. Their wide product selection, which includes top-of-the-line appliances, and strong buying power will allow me to offer more choices and better prices to local homeowners. And thanks to their transactional website, customers will enjoy more flexibility with the option of making purchases from anywhere, at any time, and picking them up in store later,” explained Mr. Crow.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike Crow Sr. and his team to our RONA network,” said Philippe Element, Vice-President, RONA & Ace Sales and Dealer Support. “Mike is a dedicated and driven entrepreneur. He is very involved in his community and has a clear plan for the future of his stores. We are eager to work with him to help him grow and develop his business.”

Together, the RONA Rodney and RONA Springfield stores employ 45 people. They feature over 10,000 sq. ft. of retail sales space and, combined, their drive-through lumber yards total over eight acres. With some 10,000 products in store, including a wide range of building materials, they cater to the construction and home improvement needs of local residents. Once the conversion is completed, customers can expect to find new exclusive brands such as CRAFTSMAN®, a selection of major appliances, and an expanded range of hardline categories.
