The first edition of RONA Momentum brings together over 1,500 participants in Québec City to propel the network's future

Boucherville, Quebec, October 17, 2025 - RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers, operating and servicing over 425 corporate and affiliated stores, held the first edition of RONA Momentum this week under the theme Breaking New Ground. The event brought together over 1,500 participants, including some RONA affiliated dealers, vendor partners, corporate store managers, members of the professional services team and company leaders.

Bringing our entire network together for the first time in over 10 years shows our unity, the power of our network and collective commitment towards our strategy. We reached significant milestones this year, both in terms of network growth, culture and innovations in our way of doing things. Our strength lies in the mobilization of our teams and partners across the country. I am extremely proud of what we are accomplishing together, and confident about what's to come,” said J.P. Towner, President and Chief Executive Officer at RONA inc.

Three days of events for the entire network

In addition to the conferences, workshops and events that were presented at RONA Momentum, participants also had an opportunity to visit the product expo. They were able to discover new products and assortments from vendor partners, and RONA affiliated dealers got to conduct business and place their orders for next spring.

“The RONA product showcase was a great avenue to exhibit the support of our vendor partners and the work of our merchandising and Private Brand teams to transform RONA’s product offering. We are seeing some great momentum in our strategy. Over 250 exhibitors were at the event to highlight new product and experience launches of our National Brands and new RONA Private Brands.  It was a great opportunity to inform and educate attendees on what’s to come at RONA,” said Doug Young, Chief Merchandising Officer at RONA inc. “I would like to thank all our exhibitors and, especially, our sponsors, such as Metrie, Sico and Saint-Gobain, who made it possible for us to orchestrate this fantastic event,” added Young.

Recognition for RONA affiliated dealers

At the 2025 RONA Momentum Gala, which was held on October 16, five affiliated dealers were recognized for their achievements:

  • Hugo Chartier, co-owner of the RONA Lachine Famille Chartier store, received the Up-and-Comer Award for his commitment to developing the family business he took over, while remaining true to its roots.
  • Ray Cyr, owner of Fraser Valley Building Centres, Chad Sonnenburg, owner of the RONA Elliot Lake and RONA Massey stores, and Karine Anctil, owner of the RONA Rivière-du-Loup and RONA La Pocatière stores, were recognized for their exceptional community involvement.
  • Wayne Filsinger, business partner of Paul Sharpe, owner of the RONA Guelph and RONA Oakville stores, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to the success and growth of the RONA banner throughout his career.

“I couldn't be prouder to have such devoted local entrepreneurs, business families and cooperatives in our RONA network of affiliated dealers. They’re an amazing example of strength and resilience, and true ambassadors of the RONA brand,” said Alain Ménard, Senior Vice-President, RONA Affiliated Dealers at RONA inc.

A common priority: PROS

Reuniting everyone under one roof was a powerful reminder of RONA’s commitment to the professional customers. Many initiatives were designed, and major investments were made to better serve them, such as the new PRO delivery facilities, the expansion of our outside sales network nationwide, and the development of emerging sectors:  government, hospitality, and multi-housing. Through smarter logistics, stronger partnerships, and a relentless focus on customers, RONA and its partners are building the foundation for sustained growth across the country.

“It’s amazing to see every part of our network so aligned with the PRO business and dedicated to serve entrepreneurs. They certainly are driving the next phase of growth for this critical segment,” mentioned Jamal Hamad, Senior Vice-President, Professional Services at RONA inc.
